Best Work-From-Home Daily Schedule & Morning Routine

On today's short coaching episode, I'm giving you my work-from-home routine and morning routine, ones that took me several years to figure out and master and they have changed everything.

Best Work-From-Home Daily Schedule & Morning Routine

So, I hope this helps you to quickly make adjustments to your daily schedule so you don't have to take several years to figure out some of these habits.

Morning Routine

  • I set my alarm 30 minutes earlier than I want to, to make sure I am not rushing through this routine.

  • Before I get out of bed I say 3 positive mottos to set the tone for the day

  • I splash my face for a minute with cold water.

  • I say my "I am statements" while I brush my teeth.

  • I eat breakfast

  • I schedule my workout at least a week in advance, by signing up for classes at my gym. But I have the time perinately blocked out on my schedule.

Work-From-Home Routine

  • I get fully dressed for the day and get "camera ready," whether I have Zoom meetings scheduled or not. Meaning I do my hair and make-up daily. This makes sure I'm always ready for anything the day brings.

  • I set and respect my work hours. My work day begins at 10:30 AM and ends no later than 5:00 PM.

  • I normally meditate for 30 minutes as a "break" in the afternoon.

  • I schedule tasks and block off days/times for specific business tasks, like marketing, prospecting, social media, content creation, and all the operational tasks.

  • I keep a "master list" or "brain dump" list of everything I need to do and keep it on my desk. Then each day I pick a few things off it to complete. This helps keep my head clear of all the "don't forget to do...." crap!

  • At 5:00 PM I shut everything down and closed the door to my office.

  • I change my clothes and put on a playlist to help my mind transition into "off-work" mode.

Evening Routine

  • I make sure that I get OUT of "work mode" as quickly as possible, so I can release the stress and transition into a new mental state.

  • I do things that make me happy like cook dinner, play a happy playlist, etc.

  • I watch my favorite shows in the evenings and never check work emails or do work.

Here's a REEL I did on my time-blocking.

Respecting the boundaries in your life is EVERYTHING. It takes work, and time to implement, but the rewards are so worth it.
